One designer, one office in Winter Park. No data brokers involved.

This policy explains how Soho Interior Design legal entity name exactly as it should appear ("Soho," "we," "us") handles information you give us through sohointeriordesign.com, our contact and newsletter forms, blog comments, email, phone calls and text messages.

Soho Interior Design is an interior design studio in Winter Park, Florida, owned and run by Carmen Dick. Carmen is also a licensed Florida real estate agent, affiliated with brokerage legal name, as it must be written. When you talk to her about buying or selling a home, some of what you share is handled under that brokerage's practices as well as ours — see item 06.

Only what a design conversation or a home sale actually requires.

You type it in. Your name, email, phone number and message on the contact form. Your email address if you subscribe to the newsletter. Your name, email and comment if you comment on a blog post.

You share it while we work. Rooms and measurements, style preferences, timelines, budget ranges, photographs and plans you send, and the property address when we visit, design or stage a home.

You mention it about a property. Which home you're interested in, whether you're buying or selling, your timing, and — only if you volunteer it — how you plan to pay.

Your browser reports it. IP address, browser and device type, the pages you viewed and the site you arrived from, collected through cookies and the measurement tools listed in item 07.

We do not ask for Social Security numbers, account numbers or financial statements through this website, and we would rather you didn't send them. Documents like that belong with the brokerage, lender or title company, not in a web form.

To answer you, to do the work, and to send only what you asked for.

Answer you. Reply to your message and schedule a consultation, walkthrough or showing.

Do the work. Plan and carry out your design, staging or real estate project, including briefing the vendors, workrooms and installers it takes to finish.

Send what you signed up for. The occasional newsletter, and updates about your own project.

Keep the site useful. Understand which pages and projects people actually read, and fix what they don't.

Keep proper records. Meet the record-keeping obligations that apply to a Florida design studio and a licensed real estate agent.

We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't hand it to anyone for their own marketing.

Two ways out, both one word: unsubscribe, or STOP.

Email. The newsletter goes out occasionally — new work, a seasonal idea, something we think you'd enjoy. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and using it takes effect immediately.

Text. If you give us your mobile number and opt in, we may text you about scheduling, walkthroughs, project updates or showing activity. The box is never pre-checked, and consent is never a condition of working with us. Reply STOP to any message to end texts, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.

Never shared. Mobile numbers and text-message consent are not shared with anyone for marketing or promotional purposes.

Your house is not automatically our portfolio.

Design and staging work produces photographs, drawings and renderings of private homes. That deserves a clearer rule than most privacy policies bother to give it.

Permission first. We photograph finished work for our portfolio, this website and social media only with your permission. confirm the permission mechanism: a clause in the design agreement, or a separate photo release

No address, no names. We don't publish your street address and we don't identify you by name unless you tell us you're happy for us to.

Nobody in frame. People, pets and family photographs come out of the shot before we take it.

Changed your mind. Email us and we'll take the images off our website and social accounts. Anything already published elsewhere — a magazine, the MLS, a vendor's site — is outside our control, and we'll tell you honestly where it went.

Real estate work brings a brokerage, and its rules, along with it.

Carmen's real estate work is conducted through brokerage legal name and office/license identifiers. What you tell her about a purchase or sale may be shared with that brokerage and, as the transaction requires, with cooperating agents, title companies, lenders, inspectors and the local MLS.

Listing information for a home you're selling — photographs, disclosures, showing instructions — is published widely on purpose. That is how the house gets sold. Tell us before we list if something needs to stay off the record.

Six tools run on this site. Here is each one, and what it does.

Cookies are small files a site leaves in your browser. Ours keep forms working, remember basic preferences, and let us see which pages earn their place.

Google Tag Manager. Loads and manages the tools below.

Meta pixel. Measures whether our Facebook and Instagram advertising brings people to the site, and builds advertising audiences. This one does follow you, in the sense that Meta can show you our advertising later.

Hotjar. Records how pages are used - clicks, scrolls and mouse movement - so we can fix whatever confuses people.

Google reCAPTCHA. Keeps spam out of our forms. Using them is also subject to Google's own privacy policy and terms.

Jetpack statistics. Basic visit counts for the site and the blog.

Call tracking. Described in item 08.

The number on this site is tracked. Whether it is recorded is your call.

The number published on this site is routed through a call-tracking service, which logs the number you called from, the time of the call, and which page or advertisement sent you to us. We use it to know which marketing actually brings in work.

A short list of vendors, each with one job.

The people who run the site. Our website host and the service that delivers form submissions and email.

The newsletter platform. It holds your email address and nothing more than we've described.

Measurement and advertising platforms. The providers named in item 07 receive website activity, and in Meta’s case use it for advertising measurement and audiences. None of them receives your name, your message or your project details.

Your project team. Contractors, workrooms, installers and suppliers get the details they need to build, deliver or install your project — and no more.

Transaction partners. For a purchase or sale, the parties named in item 06.

Advisors and authorities. Our professional advisors, and government authorities where the law requires it.

Each of them receives the minimum necessary, and none of them may use your information for their own marketing.

Ask, and we'll show you, correct it or delete it.

Email carmen@sohointeriordesign.com and we will tell you what we hold, correct anything wrong, or delete it. Two honest limits: records we're required to keep for a real estate transaction stay in the file confirm the Florida retention period with counsel or the broker, and anything already published at your request can't be un-published everywhere.

You can unsubscribe from email at any time, stop texts with STOP, and decline photography of your project without it affecting your work with us.

Not a site for kids, and we don't collect from them.

This website is meant for adults planning a home, a project or a move. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, email us and we'll delete it.

Reasonable care, and one honest limit.

We use reputable hosted services, keep access to your information limited to people who need it, and don't keep what we no longer need.

No transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we won't claim otherwise. Please don't email or upload sensitive financial documents; ask us for the right channel instead.

New date at the top means something changed.

If our practices change, we'll update this page and change the effective date at the top. Material changes to how we handle information you've already given us will be flagged by email to subscribers where we can.
